Marcia Washington, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Washington received her Ph.D. in Counseling and School Psychology from Florida State University. Before joining Segel Psychological Center as a postdoctoral psychology fellow, she completed her pre-doctoral internship at Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, a community mental health center in Columbus, Ohio, where she provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults from underserved backgrounds.

Dr. Washington has experience working with culturally diverse populations and is bilingual in English and Haitian-Creole. Although her academic training is grounded primarily in cognitive-behavioral principles, she adopts an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to the needs of each client, integrating person-centered, family systems, and solution-focused interventions.

Dr. Washington specializes in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, anger management difficulties, personality disorders, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, behavioral challenges, and other areas of social and emotional development.
