Marissa Roecklein, Ph.D.

Dr. Marissa Roecklein earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at South Florida State Hospital and her post-doctoral residency at the Clinical & Forensic Institute, Inc.
Dr. Roecklein is the founding president of Mental Illness New Directions (M.I.N.D.), an organization dedicated to advocating for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Her doctoral dissertation examined the effectiveness of a recovery model–based drop-in center, further highlighting her commitment to improving outcomes for this population. Dr. Roecklein remains passionate about advocacy and is dedicated to reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.
Dr. Roecklein has extensive experience providing individual and group therapy, as well as conducting a broad range of psychological assessments. Her areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. She practices from an integrative theoretical orientation, tailoring interventions to meet the distinct needs and strengths of each client.
